I went to my music store and I got some aquila nylgut strings, it said they were for tenor uke and I put them on my makala MK-S soprano, Will that work or do I need to get new strings?

Yes, best to get the correct strings. Tension, diameter at the nut, etc. all wrong.

They'll work. Then string tension will just be off from what is the norm for those strings. As long as you don't mind the tension, sound and it's not putting too much stress on the neck you're fine. There's not all that much difference between soprano and tenor strings so you should be fine.

Well, They've been on since yesterday and I've had no problems.
