Verrrry creative work and fantastic craftsmanship. I especially love the the compensated saddle and ebony in the bridge. The saddle itself looks like a work of art. I'd imagine the owner is very pleased.

So did you strip the cover so that only a thin layer of paper is added to top? If so can you let us know.

They were a challenge to final sand.
The makers of those highly carved Tahitian ukes must have the patience of a saint..

I guess that's why it's common to leave carvings unsanded. But then you need some ultra sharp blades and a forgiving wood species.
