A video made up of footage shot at the Martin Guitar Facilities in 1939. Looks to be a very nice place to work.

Gotta be fake,. Those workers look happy, and seem to be taking pride in their work.

Notice all the work stations setup in front of the windows to use the source of natural light. Cool video.

A CROWN GUARD ON A TABLE SAW! I don't believe it:eek: Also the teradactyl vice - the precursor of the parrot vice :)

Thank you Allen for the video! Was he sawing the fret slots by hand? Also, women only doing the clerical work... :( My how things have changed! ;)

They played this short at the Guitarmaker Symposium this past June. I blocked it all out until just now...I'm now having flashbacks of Dick Boak playing the autoharp!! Yeh, thanks!

I went to the Magic Fluke Company's open house a few weeks ago and their set up reminded me of this...of coarse it was plastic everywhere and no rosewood to be found...

I'd love those windows on the side of my shed.

Thank you for that. Love old craftsmen/shop videos. Also a++ for the music.

????"Pterodactyl vice"???? I'm not familiar with that brand. It's hard to say for sure, but it looks like a type of Emmert Pattermaker's vise which were also made in Pennsylvania.
