Shine on Harvest moon

Halloween is a time of lunacy... and lunacy is almost always associated with a full moon.
The harvest moon is one of the biggest and brightest moons in the sky.
It has been suggested that people who are "moonstruck" behave in strange ways,
and blame it on the full moon.

I am persuaded that the boy in the song knew about the full moon and its effects,
and was praying for it to be big and bright in the sky, so he could have his nefarious way
with the innocent girl con-fuddled by lunar madness. (hence my weird rendition of the song)

As every Harry Potter fan knows strange things happen when there is a full moon.
It is a strange thing that the moon in songs is almost always associated with either
love or something evil. The classic example is "Moon over Bourbon Street" by Sting
and even old CCR did "Bad moon on the rise" where the moon is seen as being an
evil influence.

Then you have "Blue moon of Kentucky" "By the light of the silvery moon" "Blue moon"
"Moondance" where the moon is viewed as a facilitator for love. At one time the full moon
was held responsible for sleep depravation, and hence erratic behaviour in individuals.

Next full moon is 11/11/11 Watch out for the craziness
