My Ohana 5-string arrived today!

Got it tuned (more or less - new strings still stretching), Looks awesome, sounds great (besides the octave Gs, it has a similar volume and resonance to my wife's Mainland mahogany).

It arrived with a low, very playable action, but unfortunately the C string was too close to the frets and had a touch of buzz when played hard. I've shimmed the saddle up about 1/16 of an inch until I install a new saddle and get it just right. The action is still medium-low, and the sound now is perfect.

Pictures and a sound sample later in the week.

Congratulations on your new ukulele! Will you be posting pics? I got to play Ohana's 5-string at the Wine Country Ukulele Festival in September. It sounded great. I hope yours is as nice.

The Kala Thinline and the Mainland belong to my wife.
