It's gonna take a week or two to ship here.
I'm looking forward to it :)

I love my Epiphone Viola bass and Legacy long scale bass.. but they're just a bit too bulky compared to my ukes. I wanted a short scaled bass for a while, and this one seemed the best value.

Nice pick-up for you! Hopefully the shorter scale will be a good fit and you'll have a great time getting that thumping kine downbeat groove going.

Not too sure about the thumping, I'm thinking of putting some flat wounds on it when it gets here.
But can't wait.

At around half price of a Ubass, how could I resist?

Oh wow, this guy makes it sound awesome too:

Awesome! I'm having success with the bass uke I made from a cheapo baritone + UBass strings, but it has volume issues that has me looking around. I was looking at the Ibanez Mikro which is 28.5 inch scale. So . . .

What scale is the Corsair and is it tuned as a normal bass?

The new Kala SUB bass is on the list too but I don't know when I could swing that. Also the Ibanez comes in orange and I have a 1997 AS80 in a similar color.

The Corsair is 25 inch scale.
I think the Ibanez Micro at 28.5 will still feel a bit big for me.
My Viola bass (Epiphone OEM) is 30 inch, and feels like a full size guitar.

The one I ordered is not the "Corsair" per se, but it is the OEM (ie: the same guitar, just unbranded) from here:

The price is right!
