I think the surname has something to do with Gus and Fin together. I've seen mention of both Gus Raucous and Fin Raucous. Maybe a punk act they do/did???
My brother used to be in a semi-successful band, touring relentlessly for several years. It seemed normal for the band name to become a substitute surname backstage. The Ramones were the first people to take those names publicly I think.
Also love Gus and Fin. Those guys have the best ear for what will suit uke - anything with lots of STOMP to it, it seems. Found them searching for Ramones on ukulele, and that was it, I was hooked.
