I listen to KQAC-FM a lot. They are ALL Classical. They just played a John King recording from Bach's Prelude Suite #1. It was written for cello, but John figured it out for ukulele. What a genius he was.
The ukulele is coming into its own because of people like him.

I wish I could hear it now. It'd be great to listen to.

I bought his classical music book and it's really challenging...They put in finger recommendation for certain sections, which is very helpful

He's my favorite ukulelist and that makes me smile to hear that he was played on a classical station! Thanks for that.

The late Mr. King's website is here (http://www.nalu-music.com/) and is pretty interesting.

I've had his Classical Ukulele book for a couple years now and have finally started making some progress with it. It's intimidating at first but gets easier :)
