View Full Version : Bruko on Elderly

For anyone interested in a Bruko soprano (I have a review of my tenor up somewhere around here) there's one for sale on Elderly pretty cheap:

Are you sure that's a Brüko? It's not their typical stamp and headstock shape. And the fingerboard on this one is plastic.

I did notice that, but the West Germany stamp combined with the sound hole ring informed my decision. I have a late 90's tenor. It's headstock doesn't quite match the one on Elderly, but it doesn't match the new Bruko's either.

I agree, not a Brueko. You see these older ukes made in West Germany pop up every now and then, though I'm not sure who made them or what the history is. IMO, this is overpriced for what it is.

Not for nothing, but whoever owned that uke before was doing a lot of playing up the neck.

Interesting comments -- I'm glad for the info, (and semi-embarrassed I posted it). Guys like me need people like you all. Hooray for the forum.

They do have a Kapasa Tenor Gypsy Rose. I've wanted one of those in concert
