Hi,
Looking for a great Baritone and /or Tenor Uke (mahogany or Koa).
Vintage or newer build... prefer wider nut widths and chunkier necks.

Thanks - jv

how much do you want to spend?

I got a Kala solid mahogany (KA-SMHB), I did not want to spend a bunch as I don't play much baritone.
I looked at several vintage, but could not find a decent one at a resonable price. I am very happy with the Kala.

I'm wide open... would spend a little on a good playing vintage Harmony or the like, or possibly spend a nice chunk on a great modern build... so, say, a couple hundred to over a grand if it is warranted.

Thanks - jv

I haven't been playing my baritone much, I put it up for sale here once, then puled it after 1 day after having 2nd thoughts.I took off original tuners and replaced them. still have originals, but the new ones are much smoother. PM me if your interested.

Gryphon Stringed Instruments (http://www.gryphonstrings.com/) has a 1960s Favilla deep body baritone for $695. I've played it and it sounded great. You can find a sound sample and lots of photos here (http://www.gryphonstrings.com/instpix/35501/35501.php).

Still looking, and may actually be open to a tenor uke as well.
Preferences are all mahogany or koa, wide nut widths and chunkier necks... and of course playability and intonation up the neck and tone : )
Thanks again - jv
