Fleamarket Mya Moe

just a FYI for those interested, this uke has a wider width at the nut than the standard Mya Moe models.

Standard width is 1 3/8"...this one is 1.5"....seems a small thing but there is a significant difference in feel and playability...not better or worse, just different.

FWIW, I think that's a fair bit of change for a mahogany uke. I think Gordon and Char are great and I think they make very nice ukes. But that seems like a pretty average price for the used market.

There is a bari Mya Moe on Ebay, a thing of beauty :)

Ken Timms showed us with his pallet-wood uke that it's not the wood that makes an instrument, it's the maker.

Personally I'd go for a lap steel from Mya Moe.

Roxhum,
I thought you were entirely satisfied with your collection after you'd received the Kamaka soprano.
You mean your eye still roves...? :~)

I never find a video about this Mya Moe "martin" style (I know, it's not a replica model, etc). I'm interested to know how sing this mahogany soprano.
