Wow, just WOW! Enjoy it!

I was fortunate to get mine in 24 hours from the remote part of the Big Island to Los Angeles. Chuck sent it Friday with expected delivery on Monday or Tuesday when lo and behold I'm in my driveway on Saturday and the post lady pulls up and takes out this big box! Great time for delivery to be early!

Very nice. I hope you bring it next time I see you. I would love to get a sound sample of it to add to my site.
I would be willing to keep it for a few months to review it if you like, just to make sure it is up to specs :P

Very, very nice. I like the offset sound hole. I assume you will find it to be loud. I am also anxiously waiting today for a package from Hawaii. Enjoy!

Yes. It's an ebony overlay. Spanish cedar neck. The Koa is actually a lot darker than the pics make it look. The contrast between the light koa binding and the dark koa back/tops and sides is very subtle but really pretty.

Thanks all. It was an incredible experience working with Chuck. He is very open to ideas and comments but has a strong sense of what the uke should be or as he puts it, the uke often tells him what it should be.

This uke was supposed to be about the woods and the sound for me and Chuck kept me and the uke on track.

It's a long long long wait to get started but the build experience is top notch once you start.

I can't wait for this guy to get played in. It is really awesome.

Ryan I would love to get a recording of you on this guy once it is played in. That would be a sound sample worth posting.

Looks great, Tim! Have fun with it.

Congratulations Tim, what a beautiful ukulele. Enjoy it mate. Loved the slideshow too, that was truly something in itself, well done and thanks for showing it off through each stage, gave a real insight into the build process.

Chuck takes really great photos although he say he doesn't. But then it is probably pretty hard to take a bad photo in paradise.. :)

And talk about service. The uke got lost for a day in San Francisco and Chuck hopped a red eye flight to go look for it. It showed up in Chicago the next day but he couldn't get a flight back home till after thanksgiving and ended up drinking in an air port bar until he got a line on a tramp steamer to get him back to the Big Island.

At least that's what he told me....

I am very curious about what this gorgeous uke sounds like.

Love the inlay bling. Noticeable, but not overdone.

They tell me if I do a good job on deck they'll drop me off in Honolulu on their way to Pago Pago. With any luck I'll be home for Christmas. I believe in going the extra mile or two. :(

You can fool some of the people all of the time, or all of the people some of the time, but you can fool me most any time..
