guitar chords =ukulele chords ?????

This may just sound like a stupid question but here goes.If I you get a piece of music with guitar chords and you want to play it on ukulele, can you play the same chord as the guitar chord on the ukulele and get the right sound Mal(UK)

If the first chord in the guitar music is G, and you play a chord of G on the ukulele it will sound absolutely right. It is a different chord shape however and a ukulele is not a guitar, so it will not sound identical. But it will be musically correct.

If your first guitar chord is G and you play the same shape (same as the top 4 strings on the guitar) on your ukulele, the song will sound fine, but it will be in a different key and may will sound too high or too low to sing along with it. If other instruments are playing with you, like the guitar, for instance, it will not sound right because you will be in the wrong key and the chords will clash.
