Anyone tried one of these cheapie Mahalo Guitaleles?

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001SN7R7C/ref=pd_lpo_k2_dp_sr_1?pf_rd_p=486539851&pf_rd_s=lpo-top-stripe-1&pf_rd_t=201&pf_rd_i=B001SN7R72&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_r=179QWJKE31R5KYNEWAKP

I know the Yamaha one is better, but for something I'd only play once in a while, $20something looks mighty tempting. I'm willing to tinker with the nut and saddle, etc.

There's this video of a person playing grenade with that guitalele. I think it sounds alright.

Mahalo's are not too good....but if you are willing to change out some stuff, then why not.

Or check out ebay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Oscar-Schmidt-Concert-6-STRING-Ukulele-Mahogany-w-BAG-OU26-/230671838024?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item35b51ceb48). An Oscar Schmidt 6 string for $88 not bad and better than Mahalo ukes.

That's a different sort of six-string. The Mahalo is a guitalele; the Oscar Schmidt has two doubled strings. I have the Yamaha guitalele, which sells for around $100, and it's pretty good.

Saw these, I wondered it they were a mini guitar, not really intended to be a guitalele, but what the hey! Sounds better than I thought they would.
