Hiehie `O Pahala (original song)

Aloha kakou!

Thought I would post Liko Puha's video of the song he wrote for Keoki Kahumoku's Hawaiian Music and Lifestyle Workshop up in Pahala. It ends with the chant that the campers are supposed to learn at each camp (I'm not sure how many campers actually *learn* the chant.) The song is about perpetuating Hawaiian tradition (the chorus is: the bones of our ancestors shall live)

Damn! I felt like I was instantly taken to the Big Island, sitting on the lava rocks watching the sun set. I'm a sucker for good Hawai'ian mele and this would be right up there. Mahalo nui loa brah!
