Actually, dovetails are probably the easiest joint for large scale production, especially if you don't have an extended fingerboard. You can slap it together with shims if need be and not even bother to clamp it and it'll be fine...for a while. Easier to do finish without a neck on the body, too. They could even glue it with superglue.

As applying a false trade description is a crime in the UK, it probably does have a dovetail. Of sorts.

Can't see how a dovetail would improve the sound/playability of a 20 laminate, and I doubt buyers of such ukes have any idea what a dovetail neck is(shape of the peghead maybe?).

I cracked up when i clicked on that link. I think the model name says it all (if you take out the "6") TU6RD, which I'm guessing stands for Tanglewood Ukulele model or size 6 in Red.
