So I've finally done a public performance, albeit quite short. I had a presentation for my college English class, and it was on lutherie. So at the beginning I performed the first 40 seconds of Bohemian Rhapsody flawlessly and utilized the uke throughout, with a little extra song afterwards at the behest of some classmates :D . It was a fantastic confidence booster, and I cannot wait to actually start doing real performances now.

So what were your first performance experiences like?

Isn't that a buzz!?!

I hope it never gets to be old and boring or like work...

That's awesome, Maxjunk! Now that you've got your feet wet:

start performing at open mic nights.

As for first performance, it was Red River Vally, Down in the Valley and Camptown Ladies all performed on G, C and D7 on an arch top Harmony acoustic in elementary school. All the girls started talking to me after that and I knew from that dat what http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dlPjxz4LGak learned at a later time. Ric
