I can improve on symetry a little - these paper ukes are easy to adjust. Intonation can be a problem though! ;o)

Thanks Roberta - To be fair it's still pretty early in the US - I'm sure there will be some better efforts once they all wake up! :)

Ack! Beat me by two minutes. JUst the time it took to transfer the photo from phone to computer.

Sigh.

Nice work, though.

I have the book so I don't think I can enter. I've put folding instructions on my ipod touch and have left these ukuleles as tips for housekeeping (I use a $5 or $10). It's my favorite!!!

Some VERY 'punny' lines there, Gavin - love the 'tenner' one!! I think the US1 is longer & not as wide as the UK Pounds?

"A" for effort, Gavin!! Well done on sourcing a US$1 in Pommie Land!! We don't even have a dollar note - not even a $2 note - ours only start at $5!!

A fun Comp, MGM - good on ya for putting it up!!!

All the best to the winner!!

Wooooooo! (http://www.ihighfive.com/)

Thanks All! Mike Especially of course! :)

I've been out all evening so just checking in. I knew all those years of origami would come in handy one day. Oh yes the other kids may have been out playing football, making friends, meeting girls etc - but I had my eye on the longer game...

Size, size .... Oh I shall have to think.

Thanks again all - and off to bed for me. :) :) :)

Congrats on the Ukulele-oragami-fu! Darn my reliance on debit cards... oh who am I kidding, I can't even fold laundry.

I want a tenor, so that means everyone else wants a tenor too. You should get a tenor.

Thanks Mike for posting this. I feel really stupid though, cause I have always wanted to do one of these, but didn't have the directions. I have done quite a bit of origami in the past, but I just seem to be lost on this one. I don't suppose anybody would do a video close up of the process? These drawings are just not doing it for me, and I really would like all my Xmas gift money to be turned into ukes.

I have discovered one thing, besides not playing the ukulele very well, I stink at origami also. I give up.
