Notes from the Jumping Flea Circus MySpace page:

Come join the Jumping Flea Circus! Bring your ukulele and sign up for San Francisco's exclusive - and completely nonjudgemental - ukulele cabaret. Any act is welcome on our open mic stage, as long as a ukulele is involved. Hosted by Doctor Sparkles. Videos of stand-out performances will be posted here and on YouTube. Open mic is followed by song share and jam session. The next Jumping Flea Circus will be October 25 with a Halloween theme - so wear your favorite costume! Though all are welcome, this is a private party, so message us for directions to the Jumping Flea Circus.

Band Members Doctor Sparkles, 5 Cent Coffee, Amy Zing, Seth Death, Eric Saxby, Kenneth Prokuski, Natashia Mitchell, Bosco & Honey, Nessie & Her Beard, Kalyn Bruflodt... and counting... (and let us not forget the lady behind the camera... the very lovely, Mrs. Sparkles).

Jumping Flea Circus is a monthly ukulele cabaret open mic in San Francisco.

thanks for posting this ricdoug! you beat me to the punch.

we actually checked this out last weekend to scope it out. it was a lot of fun and we saw some great performances. it's still a small event because word hasn't gotten out about it yet. but for any bay area folk, you should definitely check out the next one. it's a great open mic with very supportive people. doctor sparkles is a super cool dude too.
