Banjo site needed

Hi folks:

I'm strictly a uker, but I have a good friend who is planning to learn to play the banjo, and I'd like to buy one for him. The problem is that I know nothing at all about banjos. I need a site like this one to get up to speed on them. Can anyone recommend a site? Anyone know of a site with something akin to the Marketplace?
