For anyone out there who does any DIY electronics:
I saw this cool video about making a contact mic. In the video he attaches it to an acoustic guitar and I thought it might be cool to try it on the uke. Here's the video:


I'll get the parts and do one up and share how it went!

I have the same one - works a charm.
And it's less than $5

I put a volume pot on mine. There's no need really for any of that fancy-pants circuit stuff. Mine sounds really good. In fact the Makala sounds better than the Ovation which comes with a pick-up. Total cost less than ten of your lovely Dollars.
