I have always wanted a Tenor Resonator but could not justify the cost.
Unlike concert resonators like the Recording King at around the £200 mark,
Tenors cost a lot more. So I decided to make one myself. I got the idea from
the Ohana Delta Resonator Uke.
It turned out nicely. Total cost including the uke was £190.

How did you do this? I assume you have experience in metal working? It really looks great.

I don't have much in the way of any skills. The only tool I used was a dremel.
The metal plate was cut out by cnc laser cutter from an AutoCAD drawing.
Ebay has several guys offering cutting services.
The cone and cover were also purchased of Ebay.
All I had to do was make a sound well and glue it to the top.

The Ebay seller is Chickenbone John who is the "MGM" of the Cigar Box Guitar world.
He does not have anything for sale on Ebay just now and his website chickenbonejohn.com also appears to be down at the minute. Maybe he has shut up shop for the holidays?
