"Take two, they're small."
"Uke till ya puke".

12-28-2011, 09:59 AM
"It Had To Be Uke"

(Okay, someone would have to rewrite the words....)

12-28-2011, 11:47 AM
In the form of a Haiku...

Play uke whilst whilst frowning?
Like sneezing with eyes open
It's impossible

Uke You! Uke Me!! Uke Everybody!!!

And the world will be a better place.

"Put a Little Love in Your Heart"

Put a little uke in your hands.

Our one underlying rule for the Canogahana Players:

"Sing if you want. Don't sing if you don't want."

12-29-2011, 06:40 AM
I like the ubass slogan.

"More bass, less space."

"If you've got a guitar, people expect you to know how to play it. If you've got a ukulele, people don't know what to expect."-DPG

"I love uke, uke love me, we're one big..." ARGGGHHH, NOO, NOOO, KILL , KILL PURPLE DINOSAUR :)

I'm not much for mottos unless "shut up and play your ukulele" counts... LOL

Happy New Year, Stan!

I've always used yours, Uncle, but didn't add the "4 fun" part. When people say "why ukulele?" I always just say, "4 strings...4 fingers."

"Everyone I know who is into the ukulele is 'crackers.' " - George Harrison

"Everyone I know who is into the ukulele is 'crackers.' " - George Harrison

lol! :agree:

now this begs the question- is it the ukulele that makes people crackers? Or are people who are all ready crackers naturaly drawn to it??

My vote's for the latter!

I kind of like Krusty The Clown's line from "The Simpsons" (which I totally stole from someone's signature here on UU, but can't remember who... so my apologies!):
"Ukulele: The Thinking Man's Violin".

Also, I couldn't help thinking about the Marx Brothers gag: "What's a motto?" "I dunno... what's a motto with you?"

12-29-2011, 06:29 PM
An elegant instrument for a more civilized age.

12-30-2011, 05:37 PM
Play all they ukes!!!

12-30-2011, 08:16 PM
Ukulele; the most fun you can have with your clothes on.:)

"......or OFF!"

Clothes can be so limiting! :)

My thoughts:

"Don't fret the little things,.....uke excepted!"

"Fun with a ukulele, .....size really doesn't matter"

12-31-2011, 12:26 AM
Uke you , you uking uke !

12-31-2011, 08:19 PM
These are other people's that I just think of a lot; "Ukulele daily" which I use as a reminder that I can't ever get better if I just look at them (not to be confused with JoeyBug's Daily ukulele challenge), and of course I love UU's "Say Aloha to my little friend", and I am wearing that shirt right now.

Wow I like that one...
How about... " Strum Everyday and make those Anxieties Go Away"......

12-31-2011, 10:19 PM
A new chord to play keeps the dementia at bay. :)

01-01-2012, 09:06 AM
Hmmm, I guess I could invent something if I try hard enough...

"A uke in the hand is worth two in the store..."
"A uke in the hand means you need more..."
"You can take my uke when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers."
"You kids get off my lawn!" (Because only playing my uke sooths the urge to actually go scream this...)

01-01-2012, 09:18 AM
This is the one time I would be happy to say that mine is smaller than yours.... Talking about my pocket uke of course *grin*
Mine is bigger than yours.
