Drove to my old hometown yesterday to play with some high school friends. Old rock-n-roll. I was the drummer. Around 1965. Took the uke with me and after a few "cool ones" broke it out and did three songs. First time I have ever played in front of an actual listening audience. Only three people, but still a little scary. Messed up a few times, but hey, it was a start.

Congratulations! I thought my first time would be the hardest, but it wasn't. Second time out the crowd was a lot bigger... holy sh--. They didn't care about the mistakes, though.

Congratulations! Whenever I notice anyone but the dog watching, I find new and exciting ways to mess up.

I know exactly what you're talking about.

Way to go, Mango. I know that first time is the hardest, but empowering. I came out of the ukulele closet this past year and started playing at some open mics. Keep it up
