Hello everyone! I can barely contain my excitement. For the past few months I've been searching all over the net for a tenor uke. The choices were overwhelming. And since I'm from the Philippines, good ukes are hard to come by. But after checking out the local scene, I believe the previous statement is untrue. I contacted a few local builders from Cebu. Luckily, one luthier was finishing up a tenor uke. He tells me it's made from all solid Philippine koa (Is there such a wood? I'm thinking it's narra. Any opinions? Insights?). he sent me pics and I was impressed. I will get it in a few days. I hope it will play well and sound good. Good thing is, this uke did not burn a hole in my wallet, and from the pics, it looks like I'm getting more than what I paid for.

Gorgeous uke!!!!! Practice your strumming technique. The fretboard is a little thick
(like an Oscar Schmidt) so good technique will keep your fingers from hitting it too much when you strum. Did I say "Gorgeous uke?" Good luck...may it play as good as it looks.
