The new solid bodies that Kala is going to put out will cost around $1200. I'm focused on playing classical music on my other ukes. I dreamed of playing jazz bass and just don't have the time to really learn well.
This uke is kind to the fingers, easy to carry, and comes with a case. You don't replace the strings. They don't wear. Its sound really depends on your amp. I turn down the highs and raise the lows and it sounds like a stand up. This bass bass is for connoisseurs.
