I liked the bit about two virtuosos trying out the same Stradivarius. One says it's unplayable; the other one loves it and buys it. Beauty is in the ear of the beholder.

I saw this earlier today and checked out some other stories by the author. His work looks sketchy at best and I'm not convinced he double-checked his sources. I also hope it's not true.

Helen Killer is a woman. If you watch cartoons, you've probably enjoyed much of her voiceover work. It's legit. The original article is at Regretsy. The violin was certified by a luthier, and while labels can be false, the instruments themselves can actually be worth more, depending on the story and other factors, like a typical antique.
