Does anyone know of any good shops that carry quality ukes in Chicago? I'm visiting this weekend and because it's slightly more metropolitan than KC or St Louis I figured there would be one or two places to check out!

Any suggestions?

There are a couple of places I know of that carry ukuleles. I don't know how to attach links, yet, so you may have to look them up. The main one is the Olde Towne School of Folk Music in the City. The last time I was there, they didn't have any Hawaiian or Luthier made instruments. They had lots of Lanikais as I remember and several other brands. The other place is in Oak Park, IL, about three blocks west of the Chicago city limit. When I was last there, Wonderwall Emporium had Ponos, Kalas, Kamakas, and a few other brands. Very nice little place, owned and operated by Gigi Wong Monaco, a native Hawaiian and ukulele teacher. I think Wonderwall, in Oak Park, is a must see place for the ukulele enthusiast visiting Chicago.
