Well , I know I made kind of a big deal about the purchase of my Big Island concert mango a couple of weeks back . But I just can't help myself this time either .

Not only am I wonderfully elated with my Big Island concert mango , but I was so blown away with the customer service and concern with Mike at Uke Republic , I just feel it needed to rant again .

After looking high and low for another purchase for a uke , I was looking for something well and luthier made and made here in the USA if possible . And of course affordable . A tall order I know .

But I had pretty much settled on a " SAILOR BRAND " uke and had been pondering several thoughts on what I might want to fit the bill I was in search for .

Naturally , " SAILOR BRAND " uke being an exclusive to www.ukerepublic.com , I called Mike and he had the one I had in mind .

Classic customer care and patient as Mike holds to , to allow me to look closely and play them all with detailed explanation , I grabbed the one I had seen on www.ukerepublic and COULD NOT BE HAPPIER .

Super well , luthier made right here in the US by an extremely talented maker , a ' SAILOR BRAND COMPANY " ukule is now proudly in the lineup .

Thanks millions Mike at www.ukerepublic.com , and even more thanks to ferrell Princess and ferrell family for tolerting me so late in the evening .

Great Uke , great service , great times to be had ...

See phots below of my spruce/kawazinga " SAILOR BRAND " concert ....

That's a beautiful ukulele, and from what I've heard about Mike, and from my (regretfully) limited (so far) dealings with him, the beyond-the-call-of-duty customer service is no surprise. Congratulations!

Indeed - that Sailor is particularly beautiful. And concert scale to boot - my next Sailor will be one of the "20's" models - perhaps mid-year. I particularly like the neck profile - it is thin and fast. Feels like butter! And that kawazinga is just stunning!

This particalar Sailor Brand is even a bit more unique in it's owne " one of a kind rite " . It's a small concert . Meaningit is a full concert scale but a smaller body . Somewhere between the saprano and concert in size . A little less than 15% smaller than a standard concert . So it gives it somewhat of it's ver own sound . Can't wait till it seasons out a bit so it will open up it's vocal chords a bit .

It's super fun to play .

Then it is more of what other vendors would call a "super Soprano" or simply a "long neck" soprano. Which IS my favorite combination of scale & body size. I LOVE my long neck soprano G-String & the Sailor in that same config will be a dream uke. I haven't changed out the strings on mine yet, but am thinking that perhaps I'll try a set of Worth browns when I do. Should give an entirely different sound from the Aquila's that are on it now.

Congrats on the new uke. Way to stay in the USA. I love the sailor uke I have and believe it sounds better all the time.

Thanks . I'm delighted to have joined the " SAILOR BRAND ' family . I'll be having another one some day . I'm already scheming on exactly what I want to make it yet another one of a kind . Outstanding QUALITY through and through and at a better than fair price than othes of lesser quality .

COMPLETELY AMERICAN MADE

OOOh, that's a gorgeous ukulele! Wow! Congratulations...

Weeeellll ! Not really a " super saprano per se . But by all means if need be to be called something different , I'd say maybe a " super super , duper saprano . It's bigger than the so acclaimed ' super saprano " . Just a hair under a concert size . So to speak, as the Big Island and Honu conceerts are just a tad bigger than most concerts , so is this one accordingly as slight . If all that makes sense . lol

Named her ' RIVKA ' . Hebrew for ... ' captivating ' .
