Hi all,
Can one of you patient people explain to me what the forward slash between fret numbers means on a tab please?

-0---0-3-/5---3--

Cheery

PS Is there a book or something that I can buy that explains all this. I have the Dummies book but that has musical notes instead of fret numbers on its tabs.

FYI - / means slide (for example 3/5; from the 3rd fret slide to the 5th)

Thank you, I'm beginning to get the hang of it. It's fantastic to actually hear my self getting a famous tune out of my uke. When I first picked up the instrument I knew nothing at all and now I am actually playing it WOW I'm hooked:D
