8 String pack on a 4 String tenor..

so i ordered a pack of regular all plain tenor aquila strings from juststrings.com, but instead they sent me an 8 string pack. i dont really want to wait for them to send me another pack so my question is can i use the standard strings from each pair of the 8 string pack and use them on my 4 string uke and still have the same sound as a regular pack of 4 strings?

I don't see why you can't. The A and E strings are unison and the C and G strings are octave.
