Song written by Isham Jones, with lyrics by Gus Kahn, and was first published in 1924.
I like this song because it is not about a wonderful perfect love, but seems to suggest
that even though there are significant flaws in the relationship people are still attracted
to each other. It does not take a traditional stance regarding romantic love, and is
perhaps more about acceptance and tolerance.
 
Well, there goes the argument that the uke can't be a soulful instrument, suitable for the most maudlin torch songs.
