The above thread may shed some light -- a deal too good to be true type of thing.

For me US$35,00 is the average shipping cost since I don't live in a country with many ukulele retailers, then I have to buy from the US. Anyone can say if this is a good deal? Maybe I can give it a try...

eugene,

At least your customs don't tax you 60% over the price+shipping (and 18% extra if it is via UPS or FedEx).

Yep, and I watched the video they linked at the eBay site. The guy plays pretty well (better than I do anyway) but the sound of the uke was very underwhelming, IMO. Sounded kind of like a Dolphin - nothing against Dolphins, but they're only a $35 uke... Projection and depth was very weak for a longneck (all else being equal, longneck sopranos have a bit better low end and "presence" - maybe because of the greater mass of the strings).

Wish it was an actual Mainland long necked soprano!
