I read here somewhere that Kamaka was now offering compensated saddles for their smaller models, so I called to see if I could get one for my Pineapple. Turns out the answer is yes - I got it in the mail earlier today. Just FYI, in case anyone else out there wants one.

The new saddle is tusq. Anyone know what the old saddles were made from?

Now, if I can only get the old saddle off... it's stuck on there pretty good. (Any tips?)

I managed to get the old one off and the new one in. Seems to have improved an intonation problem I was having, where the C string would go more out of tune higher up the neck.

The old saddle looks like it was made out of bone. I'm trying to see what the differences in sound are, between the old bone saddle and this new TUSQ one.
