Hey Everyone :D

It was mentioned in a thread a mine a few weeks back, forget which one about the possibility of a south of the UK meet up for UU members and I just wondered if anyone would be interested in that, if so, could they let me know the following:

Where are you in the South of UK?
Do you have transport?
What days suit you in the week/weekend?
Any access issues? (i.e wheelchair user)
Any time in the next couple months to avoid?
How far are you willing to travel?

I think that's everything, I'm happy to organise, but would need to know numbers and such. If you don't want to post your answers on the public forum, feel free to let me know your interest in this post and then PM me the rest of the info. I promise to keep it confidential!

Let me know, would be great to meet up with some UU'ers and jam together!

My info:

Where are you in the South of UK? Swindon, Wiltshire
Do you have transport? I have a car, but would probably need to travel with my carer
What days suit you in the week/weekend? Weekends are best for me b/c of school and uni
Any access issues? (i.e wheelchair user) Am a wheelchair user, but can walk up a few steps so long as I'm having an okayish day and they're not too steep
Any time in the next couple months to avoid? Nope, I have hospital appointments, but they're during the week
How far are you willing to travel? As far as I need to within reason, say 75 miles

Hope we can make this happen! Dying to play with other humans in person!! :D

Where are you in the South of UK?
Swansea.

Do you have transport?
Yes, but I would prefer to use public transport.

What days suit you in the week/weekend?
Almost none.

Any access issues? (i.e wheelchair user)
None.

Any time in the next couple months to avoid?

Almost all of the next couple of months.

How far are you willing to travel?
Depends.

I know those answers are a bit negative. I would really love to meet up for a jam with people if I can. Best of luck organising this.

From the info I've had so far, it seems to middle point is close to me, how would people feel about meeting up in Swindon or near abouts?

Any more people interested?

I'll talk venues when I have an idea of who wants to go where and who's able to come! Sounds like a weekend would be best and before June or at least after the Ukulele Festival in Cheltenham, which I might manage to make myself!

Let me know how that sounds!

Not sure yet, may make it a Friday to Saturday or even Sunday, with people arriving Friday evening because of work commitments, in that case may be better to make it Sat to Sun with people arriving around midday and then go from there really!

How does that sound?

Who'd prefer the whole weekend?

Who'd prefer just the one night?

Is it easier to come after work/whatever on the Friday or during the day on the Saturday?

Let me know and I'll go from there!

saturday to sunday sounds good to me joey, now all we need is a date for availability, sounds like you got a plan going there joey

I'd prefer Saturday and/or Sunday. One afternoon, evening or the both days - whatever works out the best for everyone.

Friday after work is a bit too "blehhh" for me...

I thought the Saturday/Sunday would be better, now to start looking for dates that work for us all! I'll put my thinking cap on!
