Just got this wonderful Breedlove travel guitar (C250). It's tuned ADGCEA. So can this be considered a guitarlele?

What makes a guitarlele a guitarlele?

Guitarlele (and all the variations) is just a fad word to bring more attention to short scale guitars. At least IMHO. :)

Good score with the Breedlove. I was eyeing it up but you grabbed it before I had the funds together. :p

Well, "guitarlele" is more fun to say.

I sacrificed much to get it, but it was worth it. :)

I would suppose a guitarlele is really just a 17" to 19" scale nylon string travel guitar, tuned with the top four strings in uke tuning. To add to the confusion, octave guitars have around a 15" scale like a concert uke, and they are still guitars.

Do steel strings disqualify a short scale travel guitar from being a guitarLELE? Maybe, but if you want it to be a guitarlele, the line seems to be permeable, so why not? ;)

Nice Passport, GREAT song! :)
