Please dont flame me as my question involves the sale of a 'Uke..
Can anyone tell me how much shipping/insurance/duty/etc might cost to
send a Tenor size from Great Britain to the US West Coast? T.I.A.

Can't imagine why anyone would flame you for such an innocent question. I'm not sure this would help, but I've shipped many ukes FROM California TO Europe, and it's always been about $60 for postage and insurance. I never knew what the buyers paid in customs, because that was separate from the transaction and was based on the declared value, the country of destination, and whether the particular customs officer was in a forgiving mood. I did, however, receive an ukulele from New Zealand to California, and the postal carrier required a payment of $45 duties for an ukulele worth $600.

If you don't get an answer here, you might try posting your question on the Ukulele Cosmos. That's a pretty Euro-centric board. Good luck.

Total for a 995.00 uke was a little over 200.00 from England to Hawaii...Taxes,shipping and Vat over 160.00
then a week later DHL asked me for 50.00 more...sheesh
