Funny typo. I'm surprised that by 19998, Kamaka went away from its MOP headstock logo and back to a decal.

What I find annoying is when people ask for a close-to-what-they-paid-for-it price for a 10+ year old ukulele that isn't old enough to be vintage by saying "This would cost $xxx to buy it new!" I have a 10 year old Honda Civic, for which I paid about $14,000 in 2001. I would never dream of asking $11,000 for it by saying "they cost $18,000 new." (The Blue Book value of my car, by the way, is about $6,000.) So when someone is selling a 10 year old Kamaka HF3, for example, for close to $1,000 (which is probably more than what they paid for it new) by saying "they now cost $1,300 new," I find that information to be unhelpful, except that it tells me something about the seller that makes me want to walk away.
