Let's say I had an idea for a crazy custom inlay one off idea. Is there someone who specializes in those requests for uke fingerboards?

How much would I expect to pay?

Quality of inlay makes the difference in price...take Larry Robinson for example. His are so precise you rarely see a black line or small filler between pices which can be in the hundreds. For that kind of true accuracy you pay for it. Several thousand.....a mediocre inlay job can start at a couple of hundred. You must remember it takes time skill and persistence for excellence.....see the thread I have on inlay and you can see a inlay artist just cut one piece which was not fined tuned and fitted to the rest which then may be discarded if not fit right...watch the time it takes for one piece and then multiply it by the hundreds of pieces that can go into a intimate inlay......then of course. You can always buy a Asian ore inlayed fretboard for 10 bucks. Lol

Yes.

About the same hourly as a tattoo artist (unless you got my tattoo artist, I'm cheaper than him).
