Wow, am I blessed, 2 awesome ukes in 1 day. the one from HI almost beat the one from MI. I bought the MP from a seller here on UU, the one with the scratches. I am very pleased. sounds and plays great. very plain, but it is a style 2, his fancier ones are a little pricier. great sustain, very clean/clear sound. for picts see marketplace.
the other is a "historic' Kamaka 8. historic because I think it was played by Willie. This baby has been ridden hard and put away wet. I guess it's a good thing, at least you know it's a player, not a hanger. The strings that it came with were ancient, still waiting for the Southcoast to settle in. getting close , but this sounds awful even a little out of tune. It may take a little getting used to. Sounds fine strummed, but I may need to grow my nails out to fingerpick. there's not quite enough room to get your fingers in there. seems like playing it with a thumbnail may be the ticket. or a pick[blasphemy]advice freely accepted by you 8 stringers.
any info on the year would be appreciated.

Congrats - enjoy. That Kamaka looks like it has some cool mojo.
