This is a concert scale banjo uke made buy the Melrose banjo company. This banjo uke has an 8" rim with a real remo banjo head. the hardware is all heavy and high quality, the neck is 15 1/2" long with an 1-1/2 at the nut with geared banjo tuners. You could easily put steel strings on this one if you wanted too. It is loud and bright because of the 1/4'' brass tone ring. This is a high quality instrument (think Beansprout type quality). I can also instal a pickup for an additional $20
