I thought it was just our site that was getting hit hard, but after some research, it appears everyone's forum is getting hammered by these Spamborgs (human assisted spambots) since yesterday.

I've changed the registration process to make new registered users answer a simple question if they want to join. Hopefully this cuts it down. If not, I'll have to put in a little bit more drastic measures for new registrations.
 
i haven't really noticed any spam... only 1 thing when deach put those pictures of spam... cant be to safe i guess
 
I caught one that was linking to an attack site, but no sooner than I had posted to warn people, it was taken down. Much praise do to the moderators for their vigilance.
 
i went to one of those attack sites. call me stupid, but i had to fix it after, with a new security program:

he does wonders

On a side note when I read these anywhere it acctually makes me avoid going to the site even if I need the service.
