I'm young too. Ask my 80 year old mother. Whenever she gets mad at me, she calls me "Youngin". So, I guess depending on perspective, 50 is young..
Speaking of which. I was at my daughter's high school a couple weeks ago for one of her basketball games. At the door, there were 3 or 4 high school boys standing outside the front door. One plinking around with a Uke. I stopped to listen. He sort of clammed up so I told him to keep playing, I also play and would love to hear some more. He opened up and started talking about it, and playing a bit more. The boys ended up following me back to my truck (yeah, sounds creepy I guess, hahhah). I opened my truck and sat there in the seat, while they stood around the open door as I broke out one of my ukes (I just happen to have one with me). They all gaggled over my uke (proud moment for me) and me and the other boy started to jam together for a bit. A few minuted later my daughter came out (the game was about to start) to find out where I dissapeered to, and the boys turned to her in suprise and said to my daughter, "Casey, I didn't know your Dad was so cool!!!", hahhah.. She was embarrased for a second, then stood tall and proud and told them, "Yeah, in White Pigeon, all the kids call him Uke Man (We live in a neighboring town from the daughter's high school). So, we played for a few more minutes, then I had to run in to watch the daughter's game. Cool moment.
