There were a lot of threads about NAMM discussing new models from various vendors, but I thought it might be nice to have a single thread "clearing house" with rumors and such.

Here's a few to start:

* Big Island is planning to start offering Made In Hawaii models under a different name, Imua. The factory is currently being put together in Honolulu.

* Kala has a new solid body U-Bass and an acoustic. They will have some new Ukadelics (including one designed by yours truly!), ukes made with Pacific Walnut and Paduk, the return of all-spalted Maple, Marcie Marxer signature uke, and a Kala strobe tuner.

* Taylor Guitars is going to enter the very high-end ukulele market.

* Kanile'a has a new Aldrine Guerrero signature model. They are introducing a new spalted maple tenor and concert Islander (starting at $200). Also a new rosewood back and sides model with a spruce top for around $270, and an acacia model in Tenor, Concert and Soprano for around $170. Kanile'a has a new kuipo model with a heart-shaped sound hole and sand inlays, and a new Island Tat in concert.

* Luna has a variety of new ukes in solid woods, plus some banjo ukes, and a new battery operated ukulele amp.

* Lanikai has introduced their new Tuna Uke system for custom intonation.

* Flea Market plans to introduce a follow-up to the Daily Ukulele (the Leap Year Edition).

* Magic Fluke offers a new walnut fluke, and a renaissance head banjo uke.

Anyone else got anything?
