hey thats a bunch of new stuff i learn about the tahitian ukulele. i was wondering, if you tune yours to GCEA, i tune mine a whole step down because it sounds really high at regular tuning

Hey i tune my Tahitian Uke to GGCCEEAA with the EE strings an octave higher than the others making the EE strings the highest as opposed to the AA strings.

It is also tuned with a low GG

Ditto to what Aotearoa-Strummer said. The EE strings are the highest tuned followed by the CC, AA and then GG.

Mykey2027,
From what I've heard, the Tahitian uke is supposed to sound high. I think it's the nature of the fishing line strings and it being basically a wooden banjo. I don't see a problem tuning it down if it works for whatever you're playing.

Hey Aotearoa-Strummer,
If you have chords to any of the songs in the pdf document let me know..

Funky vids. The smell of Tahitian barbecue just stuck to my keyboard.
That announcer should have his own radio show, I would be a regular listener. Maybe he already is a famous person???

Amazing aspect of Tahitian uke culture: getting "on stage" is actually just a taking a step forward...
