Hi all! I've been building 3- and 4-string cigar box guitars for a few months now and want to advance on to some "real" builds. Most of my stuff so far has been in the catagory of "a stick in a box".
I'm looking for a source for some pre-shaped unfinished uke necks, all scale lengths, with blank (undrilled), and unshaped pegheads. I can do the fretboards myself, but have too hard a time shaping consistant curves. My CBG necks are usually maple or red oak, but I'm open to suggestions for ukes (I know mahogany is popular).
I'm on a fixed income and these are for friends and family, so they needed to be reasonably priced.
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
