I am looking for a Blackbird carbon fiber tenor ukulele as my go to travel uke. Anyone have one they would like to part with for under retail? I dont need a pickup. Also, will one of these ukes fit in a Reunion Blues tenor uke gig bag case or is this uke such a weird shape that it wouldnt work? If not, what kind of gig bag can I use with this? I obviously want something super protective so the Reunion Blues was my first choice but if it wont fit in there I dont know how best to travel with it.

Thanks

I have one. Not interesting in selling it. Posting to let you know that the gig bag that comes with it is ok, but I wouldn't let an airport employee handle it. If you find out about a solid case it will fit in, let me know. It will not fit in any case I own (about a dozen). Good luck.

Ron Gordon, who leads the Electric City Ukulele Club here in Schenectady, has a Blackbird. He carries it in a big rectangular hardshell mandolin case he got from Elderly Instruments.

It is either this one:http://elderly.com/accessories/items/CAMC1.htm

or this one: http://elderly.com/accessories/items/HPMC1-BK/R.htm

(My Sceptre also fits his case, so the Blackbird might also fit in the Fremont Rectangular Tenor Uke Case, as my Sceptre will fit in that case.)

I hope this helps.

I spoke with the man himself and the blackbird will fit into the RB continental gig bag. Looks like I have a new go to travel uke setup now :) :) :) :)

Hmmm, it's carbon fiber - seems like you could use the uke to protect a gig bag... LOL
