So i've found several tuning sites abd I have the gist of it, its not hard but my uke (its a new Lanikai LU-11) just doesn't seem to want to sound like a uke, it sounds very low when I strum it. when I tune it and seem to get as tuned as I possibly coukd get it to be, plucking each string sounds right but when I strum it, it just doesn't sound right. Could it be because its still new or I just haven't tuned it right? Thanks for reading!

It will keep going out of tune every few minutes if the strings are new.

However, if you think it's something else it might be worth uploading a sound clip.

If it is brand new it's going to take several days, if not more, for the strings to stretch before it will stay in tune.

You just need to keep retuning frequently as you play until they settle in.

Perfectly normal. And can be perfectly frustrating but that's just the way it is.

Keep at it...

I would take it to a local guitar shop. Probably nothing wrong with the instrument. I'd guess you just need someone to hear what you're hearing and help you through the first step.
