Has anyone encountered them?
I always thought the ukulele has one of the least bothersome sounds out of any instrument, as it can be played quietly and has a soft, warm sound compared to a guitar, for example.
However, living in a college dorm, I've found the residents in the room above me absolutely despise it.
Every time I break my mainland out (and I'm surprised they can even hear it with how lightly I'm playing) they start stomping around and slamming doors and drawers. You wouldn't even know people lived up in the room above me UNTIL I start playing, and then it sounds like a bunch of angry gorillas until I've finished.
I'm not terrible at playing, and I've mostly been working on fingerpicking, so it's not like I'm repetitively strumming chords (which I could imagine might be annoying after some time). What gives?
