Pearl Engraving

I have been struggling with engraving pearl. After watching this utube video I can see I have been doing everything wrong and should take the gravers I bought and throw them as far as I can, then make my own out of an old file or other hard steel. I like they support they use for cutting shell as well.

Just because they do it different, doesn't make you wrong. There is a massive "Are you freaking kidding me?" with the absence of ppe. I'd be not too willing to show that side of my business, but that's just me.
